Unlike other garage door styles, a Garador™ Roll-A-Door™ garage door, needs minimal space in from the wall opening. This means the garage isn't cluttered with power arms or brackets, and the ceiling space is free for other purposes. Because the door operates vertically, you can safely park a vehicle in front of the door without the risk of any outswing damage.
Rolling doors were first invented by Garador™, and the current Garador™ Roll-A-Door™ models are the result of more than 40 years of development. They're easy to operate; they're safe, secure, and durable.
Size Range
All Series 1 Domestic Roller Doors (Colorsteel® and Zincalume®) are made to order based on the sizes given with the exception of the stock standard 2.2H x 2.4W Zincalume® roller door.
Note: All sizes referred to are Daylight Opening Sizes "DLO". (Finished Trim Sizes) These measurements should be the only ones used, as the door is automatically manufactured 50mm wider to overlap the opening.
Heights
There are 3 standard DLO heights available, 2.200H, 2.500H, & 3.000H. The doors and guides supplied are suitable for installing in openings up to and including these heights. If the opening size is less than any of those above, the guides will require cutting, and excess door curtain will stay on the roll when the door is closed. Pricing is based on these three heights.
Widths
There are no standard widths. Series 1 Domestic Roller Doors are manufactured in 1mm increments starting at 0.850M through to 3.200M DLO. Series 1 Domestic Roller Doors are manufactured 50mm wider than the given DLO Width. This is to allow the door to run in the guides attached to the inside face of the opening. (See Headroom & Sideroom Requirements Diagram). Pricing starts at the width of 2.400W and is based on 300mm increments up to 3.200W. Doors under 1.350W attract an extra charge due to the increased labour required to manufacture.
Colour Range
Garador™ Series 1 Domestic Roller Doors are made from either Zincalume®, or Colorsteel® Endura. Both are manufactured by BHP New Zealand Steel Limited, and are commonly used in the roofing and cladding of both residential and commercial buildings. Zincalume® and Colorsteel® Endura have a far superior corrosion resistance than the galvanised based products they have superseded. (See latest edition of the BHP New Zealand Steel Zincalume® Guide.) You can be assured of a quality product.
Garador™ carries stocks of 16 of the most commonly used Colorsteel® colours. Click here for the Roll-A-Door colour range.
